Boygenius have announced that they are releasing three demos today (July 3) on Bandcamp and they are set to mark the occasion by sharing the unheard demos only for 24 hours. Puza Snigdha reports.
Julien Baker, Phoebe Bridgers, and Lucy Dacus, AKA Boygenius are releasing three unheard demos today from their eponymous 2018 EP to raise fund in Los Angeles, Memphis, and Richmond.
Baker’s donation will go to OUTMemphis, Bridgers’ donaton will go to the Downtown Women’s Center and Dacus has selected the Mutual Aid Disaster Relief Richmond.
The event includes versions of “Bite The Hand,” “Me & My Dog,” and “Stay Down.”
“Nowhere is that truer than on closing track ‘Ketchum, ID’, which Bridgers initially brought to Dacus and Baker as a rough idea that she didn’t think would become much. 20 minutes later they had fashioned it into its current form – a stunning, sombre ode to the loneliness of spending your life on the road.”
Bridgers recently released her critically acclaimed sophomore album, titled ‘Punisher’ and Since their 2018, Boygenius contributed on ‘Roses/Lotus/Violet/Iris’, from Hayley Williams’ ‘ debut album, Petals for Armor.aa
