Bonnaroo Festival Re-postpones

Bonnaroo Festival has been postponed for the third time from summer to autumn. Puza Snigdha reports.

The annual Bonnaroo festival usually takes place in June at Manchester, Tennessee which was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The festival was set to take place in September’s first week but now the festival is taking place in autumn 2021.

The organizers have confirmed the reschedule date with an announcement at the festival’s website with a new date of June 2021. The announcement came out after Bonnaroo’s virtual streaming event, dubbed Virtual Roo-Ality. The lineup included Lizzo, Tool, Tame Impala and Miley Cyrus.

The virtual event took place on YouTube between 24 and 26 September featuring “live” performances from the likes of Charli XCX, Action Bronson and Denzel Curry.

“We appreciate your patience as we navigate the best options.”

“We want to thank you for being a loyal Bonnaroovian,” the organizers posted on their website on 30th September.

This year the festival will celebrate their 20th anniversary.
