Bones UK

Artist> Bones UK
While the rhetoric will be familiar, a post MeToo set of songs full of empowerment and sass, it’s the style that sets this record apart. You have big pop hooks that are a nod back to the late 80s and a pop vibe that is more noughties. Then there’s the undercurrent of garage rock that threatens to sweep you off your feet. It’s this slightly grungy side that makes this album really tick. It fits with the serious subject matter dealt with in the songs giving them the grit they need. You get the sense that Bones UK have a lot more to say too, that this is just their opening shot in what will become a salvo. This is no nonsense crunching urban music at its non genre specific best. The band is originally from the UK as their name implies but are now located over the pond in the US. They are already a truly international act by default. Judging by what this record has to offer it would be no surprise at all if they go global in the very near future.
