Babymetal’s Yuimetal is Rumored to Have Quit the Band

While Japanese pop-metal trio, Babymetal is kicking off their 2018 World Tour in Kansas City, the band member Yuimetal is missing from the line-up. As she was missing from the band’s latest gig, the fans fear that the rumor of her leaving the band may come true.
Being formed in 2010, The trio, Yuimetal, Moametal, and Suzuka Nakamoto, Su-metal, have released two studio albums since then, including 2016’s ‘Metal Resistance’.
In a report it’s been said that Su-metal and Moametal were joined onstage by two additional dancers and played an 11-song set at the city’s Uptown Theater but the 18 year old missed two of the band’s shows in Japan in December last year saying she is ill.
“As an entire team, we considered canceling this performance. However, it was Yuimetal’s strong desire to not cancel this performance for the fans who were waiting and looking forward to these performances”, said the management in a statement.
Earlier this week, Babymetal released a video for their new track Distortion, following last month’s “revelation” that “we have only experienced the light side” and that “an unknown dark side, a legend of seven metal spirits, the chosen seven exists”.
