The King George Weekend will be held on Friday 27 – 30 July at Ascot Racecourse to celebrate the British summertime in the best way ever! This eventful day will bring much joy – these are the highights to look forward to:
This year The King George Weekend will race through time as they will be honouring past winners. The event will take place on Ascot’s famous lawns as they are transformed with colourful decorations. The entertainment will be eclectic, as the weekend will have much in store for visitors with its major line-up.
There will be top quality racing by the top horses, jockeys and their fantastic trainers. This year there will be a £1.25m win as all eyes are on the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes, sponsored by QIPCO. Come along to see who will take the crown this year.
Fashion is no issue at the Ascot as this year visitors are invited to bring their colourful A game. This means that this year’s racegoers can come through with a more contemporary summer style. So bring your splash of colour to the race meeting and enjoy a selfie – or two!
As usual at Ascot there will be plenty of food and drink options available throughout the course of the event. With the breathtaking 50s theme, racegoers can enjoy retro cocktails and takeaway dishes from the iconic 60s and 70s.
