One Direction fans have gone crazy with excitement after a date for a possible comeback tour appeared on a ticket website yesterday on the eighth anniversary of the band.
The ticket says the band will be performing on December 31, 2020, at Etihad Stadium in Melbourne, Australia which after a while vanished from the website.
The cover image of the Ticketmaster website also featured One Direction, while the concert listing also appeared on Spotify under One Direction’s Upcoming Shows tab.
It’s been 2 years since the boys from One Direction split up. Over those 2 years many fans have been waiting paitently for the announcement of a reunion.
On Monday, the official One Direction Twitter account became active for the first time in 2018 to mark the eighth anniversary of the group’s formation, on the 2010 series of Britain’s The X Factor.
Louis Tomlinson, who has become a judge on The X Factor this year, also celebrated the anniversary by tweeting, “#8YearsOfOneDirection Where has the time gone!? Thank you so much to every single person who’s ever supported us. Big love! And remember if it’s by one direction and it’s a banger I probably wrote #8YearofOneDirection.”
Many fans took tweeter to voice their excitement. Many are expecting a full ‘On The Road Again’ One Direction tour announcement in the coming weeks. If the rumours are true, a 2020 tour would mark 10 years of the band.
