Arctic Monkeys Announce Pop-up Shops and One-Time Film Festival

In preparation for the release of their new album “Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino”, the Arctic Monkeys have announced that they intend to do a one-time mini film festival. Lucky fans in Sydney, Australia will get the chance to see some of the band’s favorite films. The mini festival will be held at the Golden Age Cinema and Bar in Sydney.
To give their fans even more cause to celebrate, the band intends to open several pop-up shops in cities across the globe, including New York City and Tokyo, Japan.
In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Guitarist Jamie Cook spoke of his reaction to Alex Turner’s demos for the new album. “I was blown away by the direction Alex had gone in…It took a few listens to even begin to, like… It was just, like, ‘Shit. What do we do with this?’”
