The guitarist Karl Logan was arrested in Charlotte, North Carolina on August 9 and has since been charged with six counts of third-degree exploitation of a minor. Logan’s bail was set for $35,000 and he has since been bailed out.
The band posted their response to the news on Twitter after the news broke Saturday. The statement revealed Logan will not continue performing with the band.
According to the statement: “Regarding Karl Logan With regard to Karl Logan’s arrest and the charges against him: Due to the fact that Karl and his attorneys are dealing with these issues, he will not perform with MANOWAR. The new album and upcoming tour will not be affected. Magic Circle Entertainment”.
Many fans were not impressed by the response. They are blasted the statement for not clarifying whether Logan has left the band permanently or for publicly condemning child pornography.
“A person commits the offence of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor if, knowing the character or content of the material, he possesses material that contains a visual representation of a minor engaging in sexual activity,” local law said.
