New York Fashion Week 2018 just finished at September 9 with its best touring Fashion Experience that transforms the industry with the leading Fashion Designers, Entertainment, and Production all under one roof and brought unforgettable experience.
1. Featuring people like Mama Cax, who proudly walked the runway with her white prosthetic leg, a NY-based clothing line Chromat, debuted its Saturation collection, inspired by wet t-shirts, “to reclaim the experience of hiding under a giant T-shirt at a pool party and make it a garment to wear proudly” for New York Fashion Week. One of the standout pieces from the collection was the Sample Size T, worn here by Sonny Turner.
2. The singer-actress Riahna showed off her size-inclusive Savage x Fenty line of lingerie, undies and intimate accessories with an “immersive experience” Wednesday night in Brooklyn.
3. Marc Jacobs focused his fashion show Wednesday on retro 1950s and ’60s inspired style. Looks featured ruffles and feathers, beaded chokers, mesh gloves and shoulder9 Biggest Highlights of New York Fashion Week-padded styles.
4. Bringing that ’90s supermodel fierceness back to the runway, Kaia Gerber whipped out an incredible twirl down the catwalk at Anna Sui complete with the perfect hair flip and attitude. For his final show during the traditional NYFW calendar, Wang took over the old Condé Nast building at 4 Times Square with the “Alexander Wang Group.”
5. Alexander Wang brought the fashion set to Bushwick, Brooklyn for a Spring 2018 runway staged on the street. Models, led by Kaia Gerber, entered the runway via a WANGFEST tour bus.
6. Nicki Minaj and Cardi B nearly stole the show over the weekend when a fight nearly broke out between the two rappers.
7. Big names in the crowd and on the runway included Christina Aguilera, Hailey Baldwin, Kendall Jenner, Rosie Huntington-Whitely, LaLa Anthony, Olivia Culpo, Christie Brinkley, Katie Holmes, Nicole Scherzinger, and Cindy Crawford’s daughter Kaia Gerber.
8.Carolina Herrera presented her final collection on Monday night. Paying homage to the designer’s signature look, the finale was a colorful series of crisp white button-downs, taffeta ball gown skirts, and contrasting wide belts.
9. Other highlights from NYFW 2018 this past week included bright colors from Jeremy Scott and Prabal Gurung, special anniversary collections from Ralph Lauren and Longchamp, and a mix of classics from Carolina Herrera, Tom Ford and Kate Spade.
