Her visit threatens the relationship between US and China as Biden’s government passed warnings regarding the restrictions of this visit.

The Congressional Delegation traveled with Pelosi and said that this visit is honoring America’s commitment to support Taiwan’s democracy. Pelosi had mentioned earlier that the US should support Taiwan.
China’s reaction to this visit
China reacted severely to this visit as this would serve as a severe blow to the political foundation of the US-China relationship, as exclaimed by the Foreign Ministry of China. China is staunch up to safeguard its sovereignty and territorial integrity as an answer to the US Speaker’s visit. A spokesperson from the Ministry of China said that the People’s Liberation Party was issued a high alert. It will also take up a record of events including the targeted military operations to restrict the situation. US’s reaction to this visit
The US officials were worried before this visit as they were of the opinion that China could respond militarily which would trigger the worst crisis in decades. Amidst tensions, US President Biden and the Chinese leader Xi Jinping had a lengthy phone call on Thursday.
