Zac Efron’s new show, ‘Down to Earth’, was released on Netflix in July 2020 and is a documentary showcasing Zac’s travels around the world in hopes of finding more sustainable ways of living.
The point of this show is not only for Zac to see for himself how people are living more sustainably but also to raise global awareness about how they can improve their styles of living.
He travels to many countries including Iceland, France, and Puerto Rico where he discovers the different ways people live in order to protect the environment.
This show represents solutions to real world issues that we are currently facing and caters for a wide variety of age groups.
Rather than just listing all the problems with the world, Zac and Darin Olien, a health and wellness expert, make it their mission to find solutions to the problems in the world such as finding eco-villages in Costa Rica, renewable energy resources in Iceland and a village full of centenarians in Sardinia.
This show has it all from humour to excitement to tears but the most important thing is that each episode has a clear solution on how we can all live more sustainable lives and proves that anyone can start by doing something small and simple such as drinking out of a metal bottle instead of constantly buying plastic bottles as explained in the France episode.
