Exciting Opportunities with the Wilberforce Trust

As one of York’s oldest charities, we are proud to support people living with sight loss, hearing loss and other disabilities across York and North Yorkshire.
Why not join our team? We are recruiting for support work staff and volunteers to work with tenants across York and Tadcaster.
Whether volunteering or in employment, each person who works for the Trust plays a key part in supporting people with sight loss, hearing loss and other disabilities.
Our tenants have a wide range of disabilities and sensory impairments. As a support worker you would assist tenants with their daily living, helping with day to day tasks, preparing meals and accompanying them on trips and courses. Experience is not essential as a comprehensive induction and training programme is provided.
If you would just like to provide support for a couple of hours a week why not become a volunteer. Our volunteers do a range of activities from supporting our tenants to helping run sensory sessions, assisting in our sensory hub, supporting fundraising events and driving the mobile outreach van.
Every moment you can spare helps us. To find out more about joining our team please contact Natalie Crowther on 01904 760037 and for more information please click on http://www.wilberforcetrust.org.uk/careers/
