Hey movie lovers treat yourself on Christmas day as ‘Wonder Woman 1984’ is coming both on HBO Max & in Theaters. Puza Snigdha reports.
Warner Bros. has confirmed in a press release that the film will be released in theaters and on HBO Max on December 25th.
“At some point you have to choose to share any love and joy you have to give, over everything else. We love our movie as we love our fans, so we truly hope that our film brings a little bit of joy and reprieve to all of you this holiday season,” said Director Patty Jenkins in a Twitter post.
“We’re very proud of the film and look forward to bringing it to audiences for the holidays,” said Toby Emmerich, Warmer Bros. Motion Picture Group chairman.
According to Warner Bros. debuting the movie in both theatres and on HBO Max is “historic”.
In some region where HBO Max is not available for streaming, in those places “Wonder Woman 1984” will premiere in cinemas one week earlier, on Dec. 16. For the first one month the movie is free of subscription fee and after one month it will head towards digital retailers such as Amazon and iTunes.
HBO Max subscribers will have the opportunity to watch the film directly from home. The streaming service costs $14.99 a month.
“Wonder Woman 1984” is maybe the last blockbuster scheduled for 2020 after other major films such as “No Time to Die” and “Soul” had been postponed. Before this another big movie Christopher Nolan’s “Tenet” came in September.
In this pandemic “Wonder Woman 1984” is a great idea to have some fun for the movie lovers.
