Women Work For Free For Nearly Two Months Of The Year!

According to the Trades Union Congress statistics, Women workers facing a tremendous gender pay gap in their working institution.

TUK’s analysis claims that the current gender wage disparity in the working sector in the UK is 15.4% nationally.

The data shows, in the education sector current gender pay gap are 25.4%, meaning women workers work free for 93 days yearly.

In health and social care jobs, the disparity is 18.3% which means 67 days of free work.

The finance and insurance sector gap is 32.3% where women have to work free for 118 days.

TUC general secretary Frances O’Grady said, “At current rates of progress, it will take nearly 30 more years to close the gender pay gap.”

“It’s clear that just publishing gender pay gaps isn’t enough. Companies must be required to explain what steps they’ll take to close their gender pay gaps – and bosses who don’t comply with the law should be fined,” she added.

The largest regional gap is in south-east England where the gender pay is 18.9% annually.
