She is left homeless and obligated to spend the rest of her summertime in Texas with her stepdad. She hardly knows him for two months until she is finally free to make changes in her life. Samson, the affluent, moody guy next door, has little time or tolerance for Beyah. The bond they share, though, is too strong to ignore. Yet because their futures would take them to different parts of the nation. So, the pair decide to keep their relationship as a lighthearted summer romance. However, neither is aware that their hearts are going to be swept away by a rip current.

‘I’M GLAD MY MOM DIED’, by Jennette McCurdy

iCarly and Sam & Cat actress Jennette McCurdy’s painful comic book about her hardships as a previous child actor. Involving eating problems, addiction, a difficult relationship with her domineering mother, and how she regained control of her life. When Jennette McCurdy went to her first acting audition, she was six years old. Jennette does everything to fulfill her mother’s wish for her one and only daughter to achieve fame. As a result, she followed her mother’s advice to “calorie limit,” eating little or assessing herself five times every day. Mom reprimanded, “Your eyelash are invisible, okay?” while she underwent lengthy at-home makeovers. Do you believe Dakota Fanning tints hers? Mom even gave her a shower till she was sixteen years old while sharing her email, and all her money. In ‘I’m Happy My Mom Died’ in harrowing detail, just as she describes what transpires when the dream ultimately happens.

FIVE SURVIVE by Holly Jackson

The YA thriller Five Survive exceeds our high expectations and tells a gripping tale. This story plays with tremendous anxiety, suspense, and earth-shattering truths. Since Holly Jackson is among our all-time favorite writers is no secret. She gets unmatched in her ability to methodically construct a razor-sharp thriller that is full of unexpected turns. She consistently outperforms herself and manages to astonish us. The small RV environment enhances the already rising tension even further. The mood is quite tense when everyone is actually confined to these cramped areas. And you know they are all concealing something. Because of how important each and every moment is, it is dramatic and makes for compelling reading. Explosive disclosures are made and tempers flare. There is a part in the novel where things really pick up in a heartbreaking, bloody scenario that is deadly. Even when we can see it coming, your heart is still broken. Trying to predict what’s going to occur next turns into a fun challenge. Even though you’ll probably get off every time.
