Two Can Keep A Secret

Author: Karen M. McManus

Echo Ridge to most would seem like the idyllic place to live but it has had a troubled past, a history which includes the disappearance of a young girl and the murder of a homecoming queen. Things have been quiet since then, even if the town didn’t get any closure.
When Ellery and Ezra’s mother Sadie is sent to rehab, they are sent to live with their grandmother in Echo Ridge. Little do they know that after all these years danger and mystery are about to make another appearance.
Ellery has been a fan of true crime since she was little – the girl that went missing all those year’s ago was her mother’s twin. So when one of the high school teachers is killed in a hit-and-run and the girls on the homecoming court, including herself, start being threatened by an anonymous psycho she goes into full investigative mode. There to help is Malcolm, the brother of the prime suspect in the case of the murdered homecoming queen five years ago.
Two Can Keep A Secret is a tale of mystery and danger, set in a town were being popular seems to turn girls into walking targets for disaster. Karen M. McManus knows her stuff Рshe is wonderful at taking the most clich̩d mystery tropes and turning them into thoroughly original stories. Her characters are multilayered and she can expertly insert plot twists that make sense.
After the success of her debut novel One Of Us Is Lying, McManus is back with another teen thriller page-turner. With this novel she has woven a tale that blends coming-of-age issues and the very best elements of the thriller genre. Many others will envy her skill. Two Can Keep A Secret will hook you from the word go and have you frantically turning the page hoping to unravel the mystery surrounding Echo Ridge!
