Thousands Gathered to Remember Jewish Victims and Blamed Trump for Attack

On Tuesday thousands of people gathered in Squirrel Hill to pay homage for those 11 Jewish, killed on Saturday morning shooting. They opposed Donald Trump’s visit to Pittsburgh, expressing their anger and sorrow as many beleave he is responsible for this  massacre, the deadliest attack ever on American Jewry.
Over loudspeakers, organizers accused the president of emboldening “a growing white nationalist movement” with hateful speech towards Jews and other minorities including African Americans, the LGBTQ community and immigrants.
Participants carried signs denouncing Trump and asserting the resilience of the community. Organizers led those on hand in songs sung in Hebrew and taken from Bible verse, translating in part: “ I will build this world from love …”
Trump reportedly met Jewish leaders, days after a gunman burst into Tree of Life Synagogue killing 11, Trump was once against thrust into the uneasy role of consoling a deeply divided nation even as he has relied on increasingly sharp rhetoric to define Democrats ahead of the midterm election.
Joined by first lady Melania Trump, the president honored a Jewish custom by placing stones on memorials outside the synagogue. Inside, the first couple lit candles in honor of each of the slain worshipers, the White House said.
