The “do or die” pledge, made by Boris Johnson has been abandoned as EU leaders provide the UK with a “flex-tension”
It has been stated that by the UK that the date for Brexit has been pushed back till 31 January, 2020 and a “flex-tension” has been provided, this also means that if Parliament makes a decision to leave the EU, the action can also be carried out before the date that has been provided.
Donald Tusk, President of the European Council, confirmed that that Brexit “flex-tension” has been provided to the UK.
This means that the UK has an additional three months to either carry out a no-deal Brexit or hold a general election.
This leaves Boris Johnson’s “do or die” pledge is a state of chaos and disarrangement. This also means that Labour Party leader, Jeremy Corbyn, is faced with a tremendous pressure to back the PM with his plans for a general election to be held on 12 December.
