What do you do when the world of music is full of people trying to outdo one another with elaborate tricks and smoke and mirrors? In the Case of Idealistics you strip down your sound to the most basic level.
It helps that vocalist Ali Hirsz’s voice is full yet still haunting. It’s also a bonus that this combo can write songs that don’t fall apart the second you take away the flim flam – they can’t because there isn’t any. ‘The Rain In Our Eyes’ is simply a rock/synth pop little slice of heaven.
