Tasty Tuesday: Valentine’s Sugar Heart Cookies!

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, now is the perfect time to plan gifts for your special one. Opt for DIY and makes these easy yet delicious sugar heart cookies. We are sure they will not be able to stop eating them!

Ingredients:

  • 2 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup cornflour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 tsp. of Vanilla essence
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup of white chocolate ganache for decoration
  • Sugar sprinkles

Method:

  • In a bowl whisk 1/2 cup of butter and 1/2 cup of sugar together till they become white and fluffy.
  • Add one egg and a tsp. of vanilla extract to the mixture and beat till they are nicely incorporated.
  • Sift 2 cups of flour, 1/4 cup of cornflour, and a pinch of salt, and add it to the bowl till you get a cookie dough consistency
  • Then wrap it with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 seconds.
  • Take out the cookie dough and flatten it out. Then use a heart-shaped cookie cutter and press it against the dough.
  • Place the cookies on a parchment sheet and bake for 15 minutes in 160-degree celsius.
  • Take the sugar cookies out and let them cool down.
  • Meanwhile, melt white chocolate and add food color. Dip the cookies into the chocolate and drizzle with sugar sprinkles.
