Any action big or small can make a real difference to our community. Find out how to make where you live a happier and inclusive place.

1. Donate Blood
Give the gift of life by donating blood through the NHS. It only takes around an hour to give a valuable resource that can help save lives during medical procedures or a medical emergency. NHS needs 400 new blood donors every day from all backgrounds to ensure that there is the right blood available for patients.

2. Build Home
Give back to the homeless and disadvantaged people in your community by helping to build a roof over their heads. Organizations like Habitat for Humanity are looking for volunteers to help with constructions. You can also donate your old furniture, appliances, and other housewares to those who cannot afford it.

3. Organize Clean-up
You can organize clean-ups to gather litter, pull weeds, and paint benches to make your local community more welcoming to outsiders. You can also organize neighbors to paint murals on old walls and plant trees in the park. These activities help to keep your environment green as well as help to strengthen the bond with your neighbors.

4. Donate to Charity
Set aside a portion of your income, old warm clothes to donate to your favorite charity. Big or small, every dollar and every donation counts to help those in need. You can also support your local communities, orphanages and old homes.

5. Set up Feeding Stations
Volunteer to set up feeding stations near local schools to serve needy children with meals. Gather a group of friends or family members to connect with people in your community over a warm meal. You can also help in food banks by donating groceries, leftover foods, and volunteer in food preparation.
