Stormzy Donates £500,000 to Help The Underprivileged Students

The rapper Stormzy has donated £500,000 to help the student for higher studies, who has come from an Underprivileged background. Puza Snigdha reports.

Stormzy shared his plan earlier in June that he will donate £10 million for 10 years which will support the organizations that are fighting for racial inequality in the UK and following that commitment, he has given the first chunk.

Stormzy has given the money through his #Merky Foundation to the Black Heart Foundation, which will support 50 scholars to continue their higher studies.

The money will first start helping the Black Heart Foundation’s campaign which calls “Each Day.Every Day”. The campaign was started in June with an aim to double up the number of young people to be benefited.

Sharing the plan of the donation back in June Stormzy said about his foundation that, “At #Merky, we have always used our brand to elevate, support and amplify issues and the voices of the black community.”

The Black Heart Foundation was founded in the year of 2000 by a businessman, named Ric Lewis. In 2013, the foundation launched a scholarship to provide financial support to the students who do not have the ability for higher studies.
