Sri Lanka: Eco-Friendly Playing Jersey Unveiled

Sri Lanka unveiled their ‘Eco-Friendly’ playing jersey and training kit for the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, on 3rd May.  The jersey is unique and different as this is made of recycled plastic sea waste from the Sri Lankan coast. The sponsor MAS Holdings recycled plastic with the help of the Sri Lankan Navy to produce the team Jerseys to drive an important concept of environmental conservation.
Mr. Shirendra Lawrence, Chief Operating Officer of MAS Holdings said in a gathering that “Through the Ocean Plastics products launched for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, we are delighted to have brought innovation and sustainability together, to establish a new global benchmark for performance wear, Sri Lanka Cricket also announced their partnership with Kent RO Systems, welcoming them as ‘Principal Sponsor’. This is the first time, Kent RO Systems, which pioneered the introduction of the revolutionary Reverse Osmosis (RO) technology to India and the largest manufacturer of water purifiers in India, is partnering up with Sri Lanka Cricket in its forward journey.
