Return To FIGHT ISLAND – At a Glance

UFC Fight Island is returning from September 26 at Yas Island, Abu Dhabi. Dipto Paul Reports.

The world’s premier mixed martial arts organization (UFC) and the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi announced the news by publishing the full schedule of the UFC Return to FIGHT ISLAND event.

There will be a total of 5 events for Return to UFC FIGHT ISLAND in which 2 events will be pay per view and the rest 3 will be fight nights.

The first pay per view event will start from 26 September where Israel Adesanya will be facing Brazilian powerhouse Paulo Costa for the middleweight championship.

In the same event, Dominick Reyes will take on Jan Blachowicz for the light heavyweight championship.

On October 3, Holly Holm will fight against Irene Aldana for the Women’s Bantamweight championship.

 Marlon Moraes will fight Cory Sandhagen on October 10 for the Bantamweight championship and Brian Ortega will take on The Korean Zombie on October 17 for the Featherweight championship.

UFC Fight Island will conclude its journey on October 24 with a match between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Justin Gaethje for the World Lightweight Championship.

This match is the most highly anticipated matchup of the year as Khabib Nurmagomedov returning to the Octagon to defend his belt.

“While the rest of the world shut down, we worked with our partners in Abu Dhabi to put on the best live sporting experience, and we did it safely and responsibly,” said UFC President Dana White.

“Return to FIGHT ISLAND will showcase some of the best fights of the year, including one that I’ve predicted has ‘Fight of the Year’ potential,” he added.
