The documentary, “Imagine”, accompanied by the restored version of John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s initial music film from 1972, is set to come out this fall on 17 September. The couple co-directed and co-starred in the film which will include restored and extra footage as well as a newly remastered soundtrack.
The unreleased footage will include clips of Lennon performing with former Beatles bandmate George Harrison, as well as frequent bassist Klaus Voormann, playing “How Do You Sleep?” and “Oh My Love”. Moreover, the sountrack will feature every song from the iconic 1971 “Imagine” album, having a bit a of twist by Paul Hicks, who has won Grammys for his work on the Beatles’ box set and “Love” soundtrack. Some celebrities such as Andy Warhol, Miles Davis, Fred Astaire and George Harrison will have a peak in the film as well.
“Remember, each one of us has the power to change the world.”, said Ono, who has always revolved around the idea of peace. That statement can be used nowadays and inspire us as individuals.
