Race for the New Prime Minster begins in the UK. The UK undergoes political turmoil as Boris Johnson has confirmed his resignation. Eight candidates from the Conservatives have been chosen to fight to succeed Boris Johnson as the leader and the British Prime Minister. They are to win enough nominations from their colleagues and pass through the first round of voting on July 13, Wednesday.

Boris Johnson’s Resignation
Boris Johnson resigned after a series of uneventful events happened to him. Their short tenure of three years ended on 7 July after he announces his resignation. Out of eight promising candidates, two of them couldn’t secure the required number of nominations which was 20. This gives the other candidates a wide range of opportunities to come into the limelight. They have to win the nominations from the party with some promises. The promises on the ground of honesty, tax cuts, and a serious working government. The one coming had to be parallel with Johnson to remain as a Prime Minister.
Potential Candidates for the Elections
Ex-Finance Minister, Rishi Sunak is on his way to becoming the next Prime Minister of the UK. He has launched campaigns to succeed through the process of election. Nadhim Zahawi and Liz Truss the foreign minister of the UK are also in the running to become Prime ministers. Their participation in the contest to run the ministry makes it more difficult, different, and bitter.
UK’s current economic condition
The support for the Conservatives is falling, reveals the polls. Britain’s economy is going through a severe setback where inflation is upgrading itself. Debt is high as people are curtailing their expenses. They are just sticking to their necessities. This surge in finances has not been seen in decades.
