QIPCO British Champions Day

British Champions Day is a thoroughbred horse race meeting held at Ascot Racecourse in October each year since 2011, which acts as the end of season highlight fixture of British flat racing. The richest raceday in Britain, the QIPCO British Champions Day will see £4 million of prize money up for grabs for the finale of the European Flat Race season.
The 2018 Series will take place over 26 racedays, launching on Saturday 05 May with the QIPCO 2000 Guineas on Newmarket’s Rowley Mile course and climaxing on QIPCO British Champions Day at Ascot on Saturday 20 October.
The Series include five championship categories, namely Sprint, Mile, Middle Distance, Long Distance and Fillies & Mares.
The seven highest-rated races are featured in that category including at least 12 of the world’s top 20 races and Europe’s finest horses, jockeys and trainers are brought together to compete for the sport’s most prestigious prizes.
Spectators and enthusiasts will be looking for the perfect course conditions to suit their chosen horse and rider and to make for an exciting day of racing at the Ascot racecourse.
The afternoon is rounded off with a hugely popular post-racing concert, keeping the meeting’s atmosphere well and truly alive after the racing action has finished.
