Please Offer Syria a Lifeline

The crisis in Syria is without doubt one of the worst humanitarian disasters since World War II.
Hundreds of thousands of people have died and millions more have fled their homes. And yet help is getting through.
The charity Aid to the Church in Need (ACN) is providing food, clean water, medicine and shelter to communities traumatised by bombardment and suffering extreme poverty.
Working with project partners on the ground including Church leaders and volunteers, the charity is offering help to people in greatest need. This help is going to people of all backgrounds, regardless of faith or ethnic differences.
Last year alone, ACN carried out 143 projects in worst-affected towns and cities all over the country.
In Homs, 90 young people with profound learning difficulties receive help at a centre newly re-opened for their care.
In Aleppo, 2,350 of the poorest families are receiving free food items, thanks to an ACN voucher scheme.
Elsewhere in the city, volunteers are risking their lives to provide food parcels to the house-bound (£25 each).
One mother told us: “Words don’t come close to expressing our gratitude for what you have done for us.”
Please help us offer a lifeline to Syria. Visit acnuk.org/donate.
