Our Power Is Real

Our Power Is Real is a one-day event on Saturday 28th March bringing together a wide range of community and grassroots campaign groups to celebrate 60 years of Peace House (the building Housmans Bookshop is in).
We want to create spaces where we can come together to celebrate the achievements of the past and collectively imagine ways forward and in an open and welcoming manner that strengthens our collective movements and connects our struggles.
On the day there will be discussions, practical workshops, stalls, books, zines, film screenings, kids’ activities, and info on a wide range of campaigns and social movements. Topics will include anti-war movements, climate justice, workplace organising, resisting the far right, popular education, community-based support, resisting migration raid and strategic direct action. Over 50 different campaign groups, grassroots movements, and community organisations will be there on the day. This is a wonderful chance for anyone with an interest in social change to come along and find out what is happening and how to get involved.
More info will be available very soon, but for now get the date in your diary!
