NYPD Commander who stated 50 Cent should be shot ‘On Sight’ will not face criminal charges

By Shayan Shakir
The NYPD has closed its case regarding Inspector Emmanuel Gonzalez, who reportedly ordered the police to shoot Kurtis Jackson (aka 50 Cent) on sight.
The NYPD’’s Internal Affairs Bureau has closed its investigation into the statement the 72nd Precinct Inspector  Emmanuel Gonzalez said regarding rapper 50 Cent, as he claimed that it was made in a squad meeting and was only intended to be a joke and that he had no intentions causing any harm to Kurtis ‘50 Cent’ Jackson.
The IAB was in a position to close the case as there was no proof of any form of malice in the statement that was made.
As reported by the ‘New York Daily News’, Emmanuel Gonzalez had allegedly ordered his squad to shoot the ‘Power’ actor on sight if they saw him at an NYPD boxing match which was going to be taking place back in June 2018.
The statement made by him alarmed a few officers present at the scene which caused them to send out text messages regarding the situation to other officers, which is what prompted the investigation in the first place. As stated by ‘Complex’, 50 Cent himself addressed the situation on social media where he made a comment about Gonzalez saying that he is a ‘Gangsta with a badge.
Another statement was made by 50 Cent regarding the IAB not taking any action against this. He said: “I knew they were not going to do anything about this, so I stopped talking about this”, as reported by ‘Complex’.
