The US younger singer who has turned just 18 last month has recorded the title track for the new James Bond film, No Time To Die.
The news has been announced by MGM and Universal Pictures International on Tuesday. It has been a history that the youngest singer wrote and recorded a theme song.
“It feels crazy to be a part of this in every way. To be able to score the theme song to a film that is part of such a legendary series is a huge honour,” saying this the singer added,
“James Bond is the coolest film franchise ever to exist. I’m still in shock.”
The previous two theme song “Skyfal” by Adele and “Writing On The Wall” by Sam Smith won Oscar each.
“Writing the theme song for a Bond film is something we’ve been dreaming about doing our entire lives,” said O’Connell.
“It feels crazy to be a part of this in every way,” Eilish said in a statement.
“James Bond is the coolest film franchise ever to exist. I’m still in shock.”
Though the song generally out before the film’s premiere but the exact release date of the song isn’t fix yet.
No Time to Die’s first trailer which shows Rami Malek as the film’s villain was released in December.
