Netflix is back with the good news for “Black Mirror” fans with the confirmation of started filming fifth season in South London later this week.
According to a report, Charlie Brooker, the show-runner and creator of the show, announced the news at the Royal Television Society Awards in London on Tuesday.
The local report says, the popular sci-fi anthology seris is to be filming in Croydon on St George’s walk on Wednesday and Friday where the vintage style set is already spotted in the middle of the town.
“Season five, we are filming one episode at the moment,” said Charlie Brooker, the show’s creator, “we are about to start filming another one imminently. I’m writing the next one and then it gets a bit more foggy.”
No premiere date has been revealed yet but it looks likely that it will be released in late 2018 as almost all the previous season has maintained this period. The only sign comes from a teaser simply reading “be right back”, perhaps referencing the season two episode of the same naming starring Hayley Atwell and Domhnall Gleeson.
“We love making the show. It’s an utter privilege to be able to curate six films. It’s the stuff of dreams,” executive producer Annabel Jones said before releasing season four.
