Foo Fighters’ New Album: 4 Things to Know!

Dave Grohl, the vocalist and guitarist of the Foo Fighters band has given an insight to his fans that their upcoming album is just like David Bowie’s 1983 best-seller Let’s Dance. Puza Sarker Snigdha reports.

Grohl and his mother, author Virginia Grohl, joined an interview on ALT 98.7 FM last week where Grohl spoke about the sound of the upcoming album and made an interesting comparison. Here’s what you need to know!

  1. According to Grohl: “It’s filled with anthemic, huge, sing-along rock songs. It’s almost like a dance record—not like a EDM, disco, modern dance record. It’s got groove, man,”
  2. He also added:“To me, it’s like our David Bowie’s Let’s Dance record. That’s what we wanted to make, ’cause we were, ‘Yeah, let’s make this really up, fun record!’ And it’s got its dark corners and whatever, but we were so excited to go out and play, and then we just hit pause on everything,” Grohl added.
  3. The album was recorded in a 1940s house in Encino, California.
  4. The band confirmed that they have finished their work for their tenth studio album but the release date has not been fixed yet due to coronavirus pandemic.

The band has to postpone their 25th anniversary tour dates due to the limits on mass gatherings. However, the other 2020 concert dates are still up in the air.
