Supreme Unbeing – The Devil Smiles
A five-piece metal band with what can best be described as something of tongue-in-cheek lyrics. The song itself pokes (dark yey cynical) fun at the desire of those who want the fame and glory but wish for it instantly rather than putting the hard work in. In this the band have made a deal with the Devil which appears to have gone somewhat pear shaped. The lyrics are a bit edgy as well whilst at the same time make a direct reference to the song’s meaning
“It’s time for you now to decide/just sign your name above that line/and make the Devil smile”
Sons – Nothing
Now if you haven’t heard of this band yet then hopefully you will do some point soon. Straight from Belgium, this 5-piece rock outfit simply scream some crazy and energy and is no doubt what some parts of the rock scene desperately need right now. In some ways these guys are a voice release to nowadays rock what punk rock was to the late 70’s rock era. Nothing is a coming-of-age anthem that cleverly references the feelings of numbness, emotion and inner turmoil. Check out the video, pretty much speaks for itself
“Nothing ain’t wrong / Nothing ain’t real / Nothing inside me makes me feel now / I feel like going all blind / I feel like falling behind now”
