Sonny Tennet follows BBC Radio 1 airplay with new anthemic single ‘Howay’!

From performing alongside his dad in pubs in South Shields at the age of 14 to releasing a potential inspiring tune which could easily become the next sports anthem, Sonny Tennet has certainly come some way. For someone like myself who grew up on World in Motion and Shout Let it All Out (James Corden and Dizzee Rascal) this is in a similar vein

William Doyle shares new single ‘Now In Motion’ – new album ‘Springs Eternal’ out

I can honestly say that sometimes it can take quite a bit for an artist to get my full attention, especially if I’m not even familiar with them. However, William Doyle has certainly got mine, and thoroughly impressed me with his rather impressive track, Now in Motion. Am keeping my eyes and ears on him.

HOLLOW COVES – Announce First Album In 5 Years: ‘Nothing To Lose’ || Listen to “Photographs” Now

Now I haven’t heard very much from these guys in a while but the album itself is very much a welcome return to the scene. Nothing To Lose has some decent tracks on there and the music has that happy, uplifting feel to it. If you like your acoustics then you’ll like this

This is actually quite a good track and has that 60’s/70’s vibe to it when you listen carefully. The lead vocals fit the pace of the song beautifully. For me, I can’t find anything negative to say about it and it is an enjoyable track to listen to

Sheer Mag release new single ‘Moonstruck’ + video – new album ‘Playing Favorites’ is out via Third Man on March 1st

An absolutely incredible single which has that energetic rockabilly feel to it, and the female vocals and guitar riffs just send it up another notch. I have heard a fair amount of stuff by Sheer Mag before so I had a good idea of what to expect, however, they do take me by surprise a little when they bring out something new.

SOLAR EYES – Psych Duo Release “Let’s Run Away” Out on Fierce Panda Today

An absolute corker of a tune and definitely something that I would listen to a few times over. I haven’t listened to a lot from Solar Eyes but after hearing Let’s Run Away, I am open to hearing some more from them. The music is great and the vocals hit the right notes and add extra depth
