Casablanca delves into the deepest parts of the queer experience with – ‘Cold’!

Amazing song that it utterly fearless, strong and doesn’t hold back. Cold is basically about being emotionally and physically isolated, especially from a queer perspective. What makes it all the stronger is thar it’s completely unapologetic and opens the raw emotion and just gives zero f**ks. I just love the raw, honest lyrics.

David San Clair releases indie folk belter from a father to his beloved daughter – ‘Juni’!

When it comes to relations there’s a number of tracks you can go, friends, dearly departed or tribute. David dedicates this song to his daughter, Juni, in this heartfelt indie song. You can hear the parental emotions in his words. Indie does wear it’s heart on his sleeve, and so does San Clair.

The Matinee drop lyric video for classic rock jam – ‘Cut To Pieces’!

Canadian rockers, The Matinee, something of an interesting and probably catchy video. Cut To Pieces carries the message of inner strength and taking the stand. This is in the same vein as Eye of the Tiger and Hall of Fame in which it depicts images of never backing down and going it alone. I thoroughly enjoyed it

Burr Island drop mesmerizing interpretative dance video for – ‘Towers’!

Even though it’s just under three minutes long it’s interesting but also has an artistic feel to it. Even though you can hear the singing you’re distracted by the guy dancing in the video. I enjoy how, in that the location of the video is bit of a red herring to the song title. Even if you don’t get the song, just enjoy the video.

ISLA RICO – Release Irresistible Indie-Pop Single: “Naranjá” || Debut EP ‘Eternal Optimist’ Out 3 Nov

Sounds reminiscent of 90’s American R&B pop and indie rock, the two types of sounds that one first glimpse sound like they couldn’t go together yet somehow have actually done it. For me, it’s interesting how they use various metaphors to describe escapism; evading bills to dreaming of island paradise
