Music Monday- 5 Latest Tracks of This Week

Embark on a musical odyssey with Adam Humphries’ curated indie music playlist, a diverse tapestry of indie gems that will tantalize your auditory senses.

Shannon Smith diverts sharply in style with raw and poignant sophomore single – “I’m Gonna Change”

If you were to ever wonder what music you could get if you mixed Fleetwood Mac, Steely Dan and ABBA, then here is an interesting result. I’ve heard the sounds of Fleetwood and ABBA so I could definitely hear it when checking out I’m Gonna Change. It’s actually a decent song and is a nice upbeat acoustic number.

If you are a fan of acoustic music and melodic guitar riffs then check this one out

All the Bees aka Kirsty McGee and Gitika Partington release debut self-titled album and new video for ‘May Tide’!

Dog Star, All Things Must Change, Stone From the Ocean and May Tide, and that’s just a few of the singles from All The Bees self-titled debut album. From the first song all the way to the last, the entire record is a soothing, delicate journey for the ears. It’s as hypnotic as it is calming as it is also magic. I’d be hard fetched to find any downers it’s that beautiful

Listen

This is actually quite a soothing video. May Tide, for me, exhibits calm tranquility and the way the whole video is put together is almost like documentary type storytelling. I like the usage of visual onscreen lyrics, adds that extra visual creativity. And you can singalong as well

Jessica Wilde & Zoe Kypri drop hypnotic video for – ‘Feathers’!

Joyful, harmonious, intimate and sisterhood embrace. That’s just a few words that I’d use if I was to describe Jessica’s video for Feathers. Joining forces with her on backing vocals is Zoe Kypri. Together, Jessica and Zoe demonstrate a strong visual message of friendship and sisterhood and finding inner strength.

For me, this video shows that you don’t need an excessive budget to make something eyes, just a few basics and some imagination.

HANNAH ROSE PLATT – Reveals A Nightmare Before Christmas: “The Wendigo Rag”

I’ve watched a number of films directed by Tim Burton, who’s known for dark, psychological approaches to his work and this is where Hannah has drawn inspiration. The song is a Rockabilly type about chaotic love which soon takes a dark, sinister turn. Suppressed feelings turn into instincts for survival. I like the video as it takes the dark elements up a notch without being too gruesome

The Gentleman, For the Living For the Lost Hedy Lamar, Home For the Wayward Dolls, Wendigo Rag and Beast in the Water, and that’s just a small handful of songs from Hannah’s album, DEATHBED CONFESSIONS. Her style of songwriting is something I’ve taken quite a liking to, mainly as it’s not obvious or is regularly heard. Hannah is not so much a songwriter but rather a storyteller. Her songs and stories are epic

Princess Goes – Michael C. Hall Stars In “Come Of Age” Video || New Album – Out Now

Now the last time I saw a video of someone singing in the street whilst walking was Coldplay for The Scientist, now I’ve seen Michael C Hall do it. Along with his band mates he walks down through New Times Square in New York City, singing and looking directly into the camera. I can honestly say that I genuinely enjoyed it. Fairly sure that it’s not as easy as it looks with all the people

Whatever Whispers, Blur, Offering and Shimmer, and that’s just a small handful of tracks from the album. I would be genuinely stuck for a choice in what to listen to first, I am that impressed by the record itself. An absolute corker to listen to. This is no doubt one of those albums where every track there is enjoyable as the last one.
