  • Chords are formed by pressing specific fingers on different strings.
  • These show how to finger the frets to create different chords.
  • E – (1234) – Index on first fret, middle on second, ring on third, pinky on fourth fret (all on the same string)
  • A – (4321) – Similar to E, but fingers are placed in reverse order
  • D – (2341) – Index on second fret, middle on third, ring on fourth, pinky on first fret (of the next string up)
  • G – (1243) – Index on first fret, middle on second, ring on third fret (all on same string), pinky on third fret (of the next string up)
  • C – (1423) – Index on first fret, pinky on fourth, middle and ring fingers in between (on the same string)

Ukulele chords with 4/4 rhythm

• C (C Major): Index finger on 1st fret, A string. Middle finger on 2nd fret, E string. Strum down, down, up, down (4 beats).

• G (G Major): Index finger on 2nd fret, A string. Middle finger on 3rd fret, E string. Strum down, down, up, down (4 beats).

• Am (A Minor): Index finger on 2nd fret, A string. Middle finger on 3rd fret, D string. Strum down, down, up, down (4 beats).

• F (F Major): Index finger on 2nd fret, C string. Middle finger on 3rd fret, A string. Strum down, down, up, down (4 beats).
