Moby is releasing his new memoir “Then It Fell Apart” in next year and he announced the deatails.
“Then It Fall Apart” is secong memoir of Moby and the sequal of 2016 memoir Porecelain.
Porcelain documented his time in the New York rave scene leading up to the release of his multi-platinum 1999 album Play and Then It Fell Apart picks up in summer 1999 with the release of that LP.
“A journey into the dark heart of fame and the demons that lurk beneath the bling and bluster of the celebrity lifestyle,” a press described.
“Somehow this chronicle of a long, dark night of the soul also involves funny stories involving Trump, Putin, and a truly baffling array of degenerates,” said Stephen Colbert.
‘Play’ was global, and made Moby to superstardom, like generation-defining albums before it.
Suddenly he was hanging out with David Bowie and Lou Reed, Christina Ricci and Madonna,” the press release says, “taking ecstasy for breakfast, drinking litres of vodka and sleeping with supermodels. It was a diet that couldn’t last. And then it fell apart.
Moby gave his recording collections for sale, meanwhile.
“But then I started to see … about two or three years before I finally got sober, I started to try and practice moderation and I simply couldn’t do it and that was the first time I realised that I had a real problem.”
