‘Never Been Kissed’ cast reunites for ‘The Drew Barrymore Show’

Never Been Kissed’ is a 1999 American romantic comedy film directed by Raja Gosnell and starring Drew Barrymore, Jessica Alba, David Arquette, Michael Vartan, and so on.

At the end of the film, actor Michael Vartan got a little excited during that famous kiss with Drew Barrymore. This behind-the-scenes secret from ‘Never Been Kissed’ that even costar Drew Barrymore didn’t know about.

The scene has become iconic with rom-com. Barrymore plays Josie Geller, a journalist who decides to go undercover in a high school to help parents gain a deeper understanding of their children’s lives. She develops feelings for her teacher Sam (Vartan), which leads to a dramatic conclusion in which Josie, who has never been in a meaningful relationship, experiences a passionate kiss with him on a baseball field’s pitcher’s mound.

During a reunion with cast members on “The Drew Barrymore Show,” When Barrymore asked the 52-year-old Alias star if he had any unique filming recollections, he mentioned their romantic kissing scene and revealed he felt a physical reaction that made him nervous.

Barrymore told ET recently that in addition to the Never Been Kissed ensemble reunion, she hopes to return to her position as reporter Josie Grossie by sending her to movie junkets to interview celebrities for season 2 of The Drew Barrymore Show.

“Stepping back into Josie Grossie’s shoes is so easy,” she said. “I don’t think I have ever not been in her shoes. I loved this character so much. She was so personal to me. This whole story for me was not to do another rom-com, it was to embody a human being that represents us all. How and when do we become OK with ourselves? That is what Never Been Kissed is all about.”
