Marvel comic icon Stan Lee is being accused for sexual assault by a massage therapist Maria Carballo, mentioning his inappropriate touching and misconduct during two massage session last year in Chicago.
Maria Carballo who filed a complain against the comic star on Monday in Cook Country circuit court, claims that during the first massage Lee ‘began fonding himself while face down on table, and then started moaning when she got to his thighs’.
The complaint also says Carballo was massaging Lee with her feet when he grabbed her foot and touched it to his genitals.
“Things got out of hand. She felt uncomfortable with the things that Mr. Lee was doing,” said Aasim Cunningham, an attorney for the therapist, Maria Carbello.
Denying the allegation, the 95 years old Lee’s attorney Jonathan Freund said, “He is a high-profile public figure and I think it’s a shakedown, the guy is 95, I don’t think he would do that.”
The therapist was initially fearful that complaining about Lee’s actions would negatively affect her career as he is rich, powerful and polular.
“After seeing other women fight to be treated with dignity and respect, I decided, me too. I am still nervous and afraid, but not as much as i was before before because i have other people helping me.”, said Carballo in a statement.
