Marilyn Manson, known for his intimidating look and heavy music, is not one to shy away from the limelight. His remarkable appearance and talent for performing metal has enabled him to build a large following, and his ability to command the stage does not go unnoticed.
However, his recent set at a show in Houston was interrupted when he collapsed mid-song and had to stop and rest on one of the stage monitors. After he had performed just 4 songs Marilyn was seen falling down – he was singing his version of The Eurythmics’ ‘Sweet Dreams Are Made Of This’ at the time of the incident.
Mere moments before his collapse the singer admitted to the crowd that he was suffering from “heat poisoning”. He had been touring with co-headliner Rob Zombie at the time of his bout of illness.
It has since been confirmed that Marilyn has received medical treatment. After the show the alternative artist sought medical attention immediately and has taken to social media to show gratitude to his fans.
He tweeted: “Thanks Houston for being understanding. I ended up in doctor’s care, but I gave it my best and you guys were amazing”.
That’s what good fans are for, Marilyn!
