LeBron James Signs $154 Million Deal to Join the L.A. Lakers

It looks like LeBron James is headed to L.A.
The Ohio native and Cleveland Caveliers champ has just signed a hefty $154 million dollar deal with the Los Angeles Lakers. The announcment of the four year deal came Sunday by way of James’s management agency, Klutch Sports Group.
The Lakers, now being led by former NBA Star Magic Johnson, have struggled to regain the momentum lost when previous star, Kobe Bryant, left the team. Bryant seemed happy about the latest addition to his former team, tweeting “Welcome to the family @KingJames #lakers4life #striveforgreatness @JeanieBuss @MagicJohnson and RP well done!!!”
This isn’t the first time that LeBron James has changed teams. The basketball player famously made waves and turned a whole state against him when he left the Caveliers in 2010 to play for the Miami Heat. Still, the team took him back with open arms a few years later when he returned, eventually winning them a NBA title in 2016 against the Golden State Warriors.
Joining James on the Lakers roster will be JaVale McGee (formerly of the Golden State Warriors) and Lance Stephenson (former player for the Indiana Pacers).
No word on whether James will have an official press conference discussing the move.
