Ukulele 2 Chords: D and Dm

Mastering just these two chords opens up a surprising number of songs!

D Chord:
  • Simple barre: Place your index finger across the 3rd fret (A, E, and C strings).
  • Clean tones: Ensure all strings ring clearly, no muting.
  • Versatility: Used in major and minor keys, offering different moods.
Dm Chord:
  • 2 finger grip: Place your middle finger on the 2nd fret (G string) and ring finger on the 2nd fret (C string).

  • Strumming patterns: Experiment with down-up, down-down-up, or other rhythms.
