It has been almost 30 years since the movie “Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure” was released, and now it seems we’re going to be catching up with the dynamic duo as they return to the screen in “Bill & Ted Face the Music”.
Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter have both officially signed on to make the long sought after third film.
The first film, “Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventures”, was released in 1989 and quickly became a classic. It spurred a shortly lived animated series by the same name, and a sequel, 1991’s “Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey”.
The news was announced Tuesday. Fans will be thrilled to catch up with Theodore “Ted” Logan and Bill S. Preston in the third film, where they’ve settled into middle-age and family life, still not having fulfilled their dream of writing the greatest song of all time.
Reeves is currently in production for “John Wick 3”. Winter’s credits include “Deep Web” documentary, voicing animated characters and guest appearances on television.
The film will be directed by Dean Parisot (Red 2, Fun with Dick and Jane) and is currently in pre-production.
