What> This is South Asia’s biggest LGBTQ film festival, which exhibits LGBTQ themes films, shorts, documentaries, features and attracts top line Bollywood celebrities, prominent filmmakers and media personalities. This event celebrates the infinite diversities of families, communities, gender, sex, ethnicity, and fight for equal rights. It has both Competitive and Non-Competitive categories and winners get a cash prize of Rs.25,000.
This year is its 10th edition and will screen over 160 Films from 40 Countries. KASHISH 2019 theme is ‘Over The Rainbow’ that commemorates not only the decriminalization of same-sex relationships in India but also defines the challenges in store for the LGBTQ community’s journey towards empowerment and social acceptance.
