K-pop Girl group GFriend will be separate ways according to their label Source Music. They have released their latest single and album last November.

Known as one of the most popular girly music groups on Wed Platform, K-POP, South Korean six-member team GFriend has parted ways with their long-term label. On Tuesday, Source Music have gone public with this announcement. The statement read, “after careful consideration and extensive discussion, GFriend and Source Music have come to an agreement to follow separate paths to continued growth”

For the last six years, GFriend has won the love of K-pop fans for their wide range of music video concepts, performances, and songs which marked a new generation of girl groups and music. This news has been a huge surprise for all their fans across the world. The sudden announcement by Source Music has also placed confusion on social media.

GFriend members have been involved in their own solo music and tracks. So it is likely for them to continue to pursue solo careers from here.

Earlier this year, the mega boyband Got7 left JYP Entertainment and signed with other entertainment companies, assuring fans that they will continue as a band. Now the GFriend fans can just hope for something similar and watch their favorite group perform together.
