Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

The dinosaur saga is back – again. In this latest installment in the rebooted Jurassic Park saga, the dinosaurs that were abandoned on Isla Nublar when the experimental adventure park went terribly wrong are facing extinction – again. A volcano is about to wipe them off the face of the planet and no one seems to be prepared to save them. That is no one except Owen and Claire who used to work at the park. They are living beings after all. And so the adventure begins. Owen and Claire join with Eli Mills and his team to try and preserve the dinosaur race. But are Eli’s intentions pure?
If what you’re looking for is an original plot and a new take on the well-loved saga this isn’t the film for you. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom can just about boast about its impressive visual effects and action sequences. It is a visual spectacle but… This show of blockbuster magic doesn’t quite manage to cover up the film’s obvious flaws. The plot of the film is uninteresting if not non-existent.
When watching this one can’t help but feel that in the case of this saga the bucket has been taken to the well once too many times. The spark and premise that turned the first Jurassic Park into one of film-goers favourites has notably fizzled out. What made the first trilogy tick was its originality. The last two installments have failed to deliver and have, sadly, come across as unnecessary. Aside from its entertainment value, there is not much to get excited about.
