Judge of New York Orders a Man, 30, to Leave His Family Home

An upstate New York judge Tuesday ordered a 30-year-old man to move out of his parents’ house after a short legal battle.
Michael Rotondo told the judge he knows his parents want him out of the split-level ranch they share. But he argued that as a family member, he’s entitled to six more months of living with his family.
State Supreme Court Justice Donald Greenwood rejected that as outrageous and served him with an eviction order. Michael, in turn, called the eviction order outrageous.
Mark and Christina Rotondo brought the case in state supreme court after several letters asking him to leave and offering money and other help were ignored.
They wrote a letter dated 2 February, which has been filed in Onondaga county supreme court : “Michael, after a discussion with your mother, we have decided that you must leave this house immediately. You have 14 days to vacate. You will not be allowed to return. We will take whatever actions are necessary to enforce this decision.”
Michael’s parents went to the local town court in April to evict their son legally but they were told to take their case to the state supreme court. A petition of the Rotondos filed in state court and the judge heard the case on Tuesday told him to evict his parents house.
