Isle of Dogs

Release: March 23
Director: Wes Anderson
Casts:
Scarlett Johansson, Edward Norton, Bill Murray.

In the future, an outbreak of canine flu leads the mayor of a Japanese city to banish all dogs to an island that’s a garbage dump. The outcasts must soon embark on an epic journey when a 12-year-old boy arrives on the island to find his beloved pet.
Set in a dystopian future Japan in which dogs have been quarantined on the remote eponymous island due to a “canine flu”, Isle of Dogs follows five local dogs–Chief, Rex, Boss, Duke, and King. They are fed up with their isolated existence until a boy named Atari Kobayashi ventures to the island to search for his dog, Spots. Atari receives their help and they will protect him from the Japanese authorities who have come to retrieve him. This animation is to receive its world premier at the Berlin film festival.
